PLANNING COMMITTEE

Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held at 7.00pm on Thursday, 23 October 2003 at The Institute. Councillors Blessett, Griffiths, Shinkins, Stevens and the clerk were present.

036    APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies were received, and the reason accepted, from Cllr Warrick due to a work commitment.

037    ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

In the absence of the Chairman, Cllr Blessett was proposed by Cllr Shinkins, seconded by Councillor Griffiths and unanimously elected as the Chairman for this meeting.

039     MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING

    
The minutes of the meeting held on 18 September 2003, having previously been circulated, were approved as a true and correct record and signed by the Chairman.    

040    PLANNING APPLICATIONS BEFORE THE COMMITTEE

It was proposed by Cllr Blessett, seconded by Cllr Shinkins and unanimously agreed to put forward the following recommendations to the full Council for its decision at the meeting to be held on 30 October 2003

S03/1192 4 Millfield Road Erection of conservatory. The Council recommends that the eastern elevation has no windows in the interest of privacy of the adjoining property and maintenance reasons.
S03/1212 Adj. 5 Frognall Erection of dwelling & garage (Outline). No objection subject to a suitably sized and sensitively designed dwelling.
S03/1224 Frognall Livery, Frognall Siting of a residential caravan (Renewal). No objection but would point out that there is a second unit of the site which would appear not to have planning permission.
S03/1383 The Deepings School, Park Road Two-storey extension to existing block and creation of temporary access. No objection subject to the planting of a suitable replacement tree when the access is closed.

042    DRAFT SUPPLEMENTAL PLANNING GUIDANCE EXTENSIONS TO GARDENS

    A copy of the draft proposals produced by S.K.D.C. was provided to members before the meeting. It was agreed that this was a good, user-friendly document and proposed by Cllr Blessett, seconded by Cllr Stevens and unanimously agreed to recommend that the Council offers no objections.
